Sacha Baron Cohen delivered a brutal humiliation to Prince Harry during a covert stunt at Wimbledon, where the comedian filmed a scene for his new Ali G film. According to The Sun, Cohen infiltrated the tournament last week disguised with a mask, sunglasses, and a hat, before changing into an Ali G costume featuring a Wimbledon jacket emblazoned with the words 'Official Ganja Dealer'.
Ali G's Jibe at Prince Harry
While handing out bags of fake cannabis, Cohen, in character, posted on social media: 'Them say that tennis is better played on grass, which is why I intend to sell as much of it while I is ere.' He then took a direct jab at Prince Harry, saying: 'Prince Harry owes me £1400, I used to be his dealer at Eton. I was here to get the cash back, innit.' The remark coincided with Prince William and Princess Catherine attending the men's final between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev.
Security and Filming Details
A source told The Sun: 'There were people hired to go inside Wimbledon with his outfit, and he changed once he got inside and put on his Ali G clobber. There were fears he’d get kicked out immediately so he had four bodyguards inside and one outside to protect him.' Cohen's team filmed the stunt and are 'thrilled' by 'how well it landed', according to the insider.
Prince Harry is currently in the UK with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duke of Sussex has not publicly responded to the joke.
