Prince Harry hints at reconciliation with King in interview

Prince Harry has given a new interview in which he spoke about his strained relationships with King Charles and Prince William, expressing a desire for family reconciliation. The Duke of Sussex released the interview in the middle of the Royal Family's State Visit on Tuesday.

Harry stated that "scars stick around forever" and emphasised that "the most important thing is to reconcile." His comments come amid ongoing speculation about his relationship with his father and brother.

Spokesperson denies swipe at family

Following speculation over his statement that "some people don't want it to work out," Harry's spokesperson clarified that the remark was general and "absolutely not intended as a swipe" at his father or brother.

During the interview, Harry repeatedly invoked his royal identity. When asked if he wanted sympathy, he pointed out twice that he is a prince, noting that his status provided him with the financial resources and support network needed to do therapy and process grief.

Taking back power through storytelling

Responding to criticism over his public comments, Harry argued that sharing his perspective reclaims control over a narrative that media and outsiders had long dominated.

Harry also revealed that personal decisions—particularly where Archie and Lilibet will be educated—played a major role in his choice to move back to Britain with Meghan Markle. His children's future influenced his return to the UK, according to the interview.
