Phoebe Burgess Makes Energetic Social Media Comeback with Noosa Family Holiday Posts
Phoebe Burgess has returned to social media with notable enthusiasm, breaking a months-long silence to share glimpses of a recent family vacation. The former WAG, aged 36, enjoyed a getaway to the popular tourist destination of Noosa with her two children, eight-year-old Poppy and six-year-old Billy, documenting the trip extensively on her Instagram account.
Swimwear Showcase and Scenic Snapshots from the Sunshine Coast
In a series of images posted on Wednesday, Burgess showcased her figure in various swimsuits while relaxing in Noosa. One photograph captured her stretched out on a towel wearing a burgundy one-piece swimsuit, accessorised with a straw bucket hat as she read a book. Another photo featured the influencer in a floral, strapless swimsuit playing with her children on the sandy beach. A third image presented Burgess in yet another floral-patterned swimsuit, this time in a pale pink and black design, highlighting her holiday wardrobe.
Reflective Captions and Family-Focused Holiday Philosophy
Accompanying the images, Burgess wrote a thoughtful caption explaining her approach to the summer escape. "Currently enjoying the sound of my own thoughts again having adopted the 'can't beat 'em join 'em' approach to our little escape this summer…" she began. She elaborated that while memories were captured during the trip without immediate posting, revisiting them to share select moments confirmed how significant the vacation felt for the trio, despite typical sibling disagreements.
Burgess described regressing to her ten-year-old self during the holiday, engaging in activities like surf lessons, playing hangman at breakfast, colouring in menus at dinner, and prioritising boogie boarding. She noted the continued appeal of Hey Bill shaved ice, optional shoes, permitted night swims, relaxed shower and bedtimes, and even ice cream for lunch, summarising the experience as "heaven" and remarking that no previous holiday had felt more recharging.
Background: Living Arrangements and Property Moves
This social media resurgence follows Burgess's revelation that she continues to reside on her parents' property in the Southern Highlands, six years after her separation from NRL star husband Sam Burgess. On Tuesday, she shared on Instagram that the family had returned to this idyllic setting, where she has lived since the 2019 split. After posting a Noosa photo captioned "missing the sand between our toes," she followed with a short clip of Poppy walking a white horse in a paddock.
In November, Burgess sold her nearby Southern Highlands property, Acre Hill, for $2.09 million. She had purchased this property in 2021 following her public and bitter separation from Sam. According to reports, neither Burgess nor her children ever officially lived in the house, which was leased for approximately a year. Instead, she remained at her parents' nearby property, where she grew up with her parents Mitch and Sarah Hooke and sisters Jemima and Harriet.
Burgess previously told Daily Mail Australia that moving back to her parental home was one of the best decisions for her children, emphasising the benefits of space and outdoor activities. "Billy has an electric bike, and dad's just made him a cool track out in mum's horse arena of jumps... Poppy just loves going outside and being creative," she explained.
Relationship History and Social Media Patterns
Phoebe and Sam Burgess separated in October 2019 after four tumultuous years of marriage. They had initially parted ways in December 2018, shortly after Billy's birth, reconciled in April 2019, but ended the relationship permanently six months later. Burgess recently resumed posting on Instagram after a hiatus that began in November, marking this Noosa holiday as a significant return to social media engagement.
