Patsy Kensit has said she will not be looking for love again, telling The Times that she has had "too many bad experiences" and no longer has "any interest in matters of the heart." The Emmerdale actress, 58, has been married four times, to musicians Dan Donovan, Jim Kerr, Liam Gallagher and DJ Jeremy Healy.
'It's just not worth it'
Speaking to The Times, Kensit said: "I used to be a hopeless romantic. That has changed. I no longer want, feel or have any interest in matters of the heart. It's a sad thing to say because you shouldn't have lost that, but I've had too many bad experiences now. It's just not worth it."
She added that one of the biggest lessons she has learned is that "you don't have to marry all your boyfriends." The mum-of-two said she has been left feeling "lost" after her previous relationships.
A changed lifestyle
Kensit, who was once part of the Primrose Hill Set with her former husband Liam Gallagher, said her life is now completely different. "I'm in bed at nine. I get up very early. I have a very close circle of friends. I never go to clubs or big parties and I hate award shows. I've done all that. It's for the young."
Her two sons, James, 32, and Lennon, 26, are now the "loves of her life," and she "always" misses them after they moved out. During the week, she stays at a hotel in Leeds, where Emmerdale is filmed, before returning to her home in London to be with her cat.
Marriage history
Kensit married Dan Donovan in 1988, and the couple split in 1991. A year later, she married Jim Kerr, the father of her eldest son, and they divorced in 1995. In 1997, she married Liam Gallagher at Marylebone Town Hall, and they welcomed son Lennon before their marriage ended in 2000. In 2009, she wed DJ Jeremy Healy, but the marriage lasted just ten months.
In 2022, she became engaged to property tycoon Patric Cassidy, who proposed at the Mayfair restaurant Scotts. He proposed again in February 2023 on a beach, but the romance crumbled in July that year. By December 2023, the pair were back together, but the relationship later ended. She also had a secret relationship with actor Terence Stamp, which she kept private for over three decades to avoid "hurting" anyone.
