Noel Gallagher confirmed for final Chicken Shop Date season

Noel Gallagher has been confirmed as the next guest on the final season of Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date. The announcement came through an Instagram post on Wednesday, October 21, in which the 32-year-old presenter shared a video of herself and the Britpop legend seated across from one another at an unspecified chicken restaurant.

“Stop crying your heart out, my next date is here <3,” Dimoldenberg wrote in the caption, addressing her 2.9 million followers. The post follows days of fan speculation after she teased the identity of her upcoming guest.

Final Season Announcement

Dimoldenberg revealed in September that Chicken Shop Date would end after more than a decade, promising a final run of episodes before she moves on to new projects. The series, which began in 2014, became a viral hit due to her deadpan humour and deliberately awkward conversations with some of the world's biggest celebrities.

The final season has already featured American singer Role Model and British R&B star Jorja Smith, with fans eagerly waiting to see who else will join before the show wraps up.

Teaser and Fan Reaction

On Tuesday, October 20, speculation erupted that one of the Gallagher brothers could appear, as Dimoldenberg posted a teaser with boxes for fans to guess the guest, accompanied by Oasis's “Stop Crying Your Heart Out.” Fans quickly connected the track choice to Gallagher, 59, and some pointed to a hand visible in the teaser, claiming it belonged to the Oasis guitarist.

One fan wrote: “OH MY GOD NOEL IS GOING ON THE CHICKEN SHOP DATE SHUT UP.” Others expressed excitement at the prospect of the notoriously dry-witted musician taking part in Dimoldenberg's flirtatious interview format.

Liam Gallagher's Response

The speculation followed Liam Gallagher's apparent dismissal of appearing on the show himself. Responding to a fan who suggested he should take part, Liam wrote: “Chicken shop date leave it out.”

Oasis, formed in Manchester in 1991, became one of the defining acts of the Britpop era with hits including Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova. The band announced their second comeback tour earlier this summer, bringing Noel and Liam back on stage together after years of public feuding.
