Noel Gallagher was spotted enjoying a rare outing with his teenage sons, Sonny and Donovan, as the trio sat front row to watch Conor McGregor's UFC fight against Max Holloway. The event took place on the same night as the England quarter-final match against Norway.
McGregor greets Gallagher family after fight
After the fight, Conor McGregor was pictured making his way over to Noel to greet him and his sons, Donovan, 19, and Sonny, 16. Noel shares his youngest sons with ex-wife Sara MacDonald, whom he was in a relationship with from 2001 before their split after 22 years. The couple have largely kept their sons out of the spotlight.
Sonny's cheeky net worth search
Noel recently revealed that his youngest son Sonny has inherited the Gallagher cheeky chappie persona. In an interview with Absolute Radio, he said that his son had gone behind his back to find out his net worth. “My youngest lad was asking for stuff once and I was like, 'How much is it?'” said Noel. He added that he told Sonny: “That's a lot of money,” to which Sonny replied: “Mate, you're loaded – I've googled your net worth.”
Good relationship with uncle Liam
The boys also appear to have a good relationship with their uncle Liam. In April, the Oasis frontman posted on X: “So we had a BIBLICAL Easter Sunday Noel Donavan and Sonny popped over to ours for a cup of tea it was absolutely incredible to meet the young guvs I obviously blew there minds coz im cool as f**k you heard it here 1st LG x.”
Wonderwall resurgence during World Cup
Noel and Liam put their differences behind them after 16 years to reunite for a world tour last year. Their iconic song Wonderwall has seen a resurgence as football fans have made it their unofficial anthem, sung by millions after every England match during the World Cup. Liam has indicated he is prepared to perform the track if England make it to the final, simply saying: “I'm ready.”
Noel on Wonderwall's popularity
In a chat with TalkSport, Noel revealed: “For your information, that song belongs to the people, I don't see it as my song. I thought it was a brilliant moment.” According to Spotify data, Wonderwall saw a 300% spike in just one hour after England's win against Mexico, with listeners increasing by 306% to 6,614 streams from 1,628. Despite not reaching number one upon its release in 1995, it later won a Grammy and has become a music history staple.
