Narinder Kaur Slams Queen Camilla as 'Selfish' Over Umbrella

TV personality Narinder Kaur has criticised Queen Camilla after the monarch walked away with the only available umbrella during a tropical rainstorm in Antigua, leaving King Charles exposed to the downpour.

The incident occurred during the Antigua and Barbuda independence anniversary parade at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, where the royals were caught in heavy rain. As King Charles, 77, continued getting drenched, Queen Camilla, 79, strolled away with the umbrella, leaving her husband to throw his hands up in despair before eventually being handed one of his own.

Narinder Kaur's Criticism

Narinder, known for her appearances on Good Morning Britain and Jeremy Vine, took to X to express her anger. She wrote: "King Charles is right to be cross no one in the whole entourage thought to run over with an umbrella!! He's an old man getting SOAKED through - he's just been told they don't want him as head of State and want some dosh back and his wife doesn't care one bit as she selfishly keeps herself dry. Take notes from Meghan below Camilla."

She then shared a photo of Meghan Markle holding an umbrella over both her and Prince Harry's heads, with the caption: "This is being a loving partner Camilla."

Public Reaction

Many social media users criticised Narinder's comments. One wrote: "They are in their seventies, and Charles is undergoing cancer treatment. He requires a robust immune system; therefore, standing in the rain is not advisable for him. Your hostility towards the royal family is a matter of the utmost seriousness and will not end well for you."

Another said: "Always have to incite negativity in every scenario don't you Narinder!" A third posted: "I think it's possible he told her to take the umbrella and leave because he doesn't want her to stand in the wind and rain. She's almost 80." A fourth shared: "Camilla was due to leave the podium straight after the anthems, that's why she walked off, stop stirring."

However, some agreed with Narinder. One remarked: "Poor Charles getting waterlogged while Camilla completely blanks him. She seriously chose to protect her blowout over sheltering her husband from a torrential downpour." A second added: "He's the King, he's ill, and he's standing there in a rainstorm while she dashes off without even handing over the umbrella." Another echoed: "Can't get over how she walked off, I hate to get my hair wet but I'd never do that to my husband."
