Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has broken her silence after receiving death threats from online trolls. The 20-year-old, who finished runner-up with boyfriend Tommy Fury on this year's series, described being labelled 'Money-Mae' as 'shocking' and 'hard to hear'.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Molly-Mae confirmed she received the same level of aftercare from ITV as other islanders. She admitted reading negative comments at first but stopped, saying: 'Some of the stuff that's been said about me is pretty vile. There are death threats, which really isn't nice.'
Tommy Fury defended his girlfriend, calling trolls 'jealous' and describing Molly-Mae as 'the most genuine and nicest girl I've ever met'. The couple, who have been together for two months, appear to be the strongest to emerge from the villa this year.
Despite the trolling, Molly-Mae and Tommy are enjoying life outside the villa, sharing loved-up posts on Instagram and enjoying romantic dates, including a recent meal at London's Nobu restaurant.
