Meghan Markle was criticized by royal fans for promoting her As Ever brand shortly after Princess Catherine announced her remarkable achievement of climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales within 24 hours.
Princess Catherine's Three Peaks Triumph
The Princess of Wales successfully summited Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon over the weekend, completing the demanding 23-mile route in under 24 hours. She undertook the trekking challenge alone, with support from Mountain Rescue, to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Kensington Palace shared a post about Catherine's achievement at around 7pm on Sunday, which quickly went viral as people praised her efforts.
Meghan's As Ever Announcement
About two hours later, at 9pm, Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever made a cryptic post hinting at a new product launch: lavender honey. The timing struck many royal fans as deliberate, accusing the Duchess of Sussex of trying to divert attention from her sister-in-law.
One user shared Meghan's post on X, writing: "'Coming soon'. Of course. Right on cue. She couldn't stand the fact that Princess Catherine just completed Britain's National Three Peaks Challenge, a 23-mile hiking challenge! Something Meghan could never do, so what does she do? She announces a new product drop. What a jealous t**t!"
Another user joked: "The Meghan drop. What a drip." A third commented: "She is so embarrassing. She has millions of dollars worth of unsold stock yet is still bringing more rubbish out to lie on warehouse shelves!"
A fourth added: "Her envy level must be off the charts." A fifth wrote: "Sooooo lavender honey is supposed to compete with a 23-mile hike? Ok. God bless her. She needs to stop trying to compete & just be her." A sixth opined: "It's just funny. Like it's totally normal to launch a new product late on a Sunday night. Such a pathetic and transparent stunt."
As Ever's New Product
Meghan's lifestyle brand has previously offered three types of honey: wildflower, orange blossom, and sage. The latest release, lavender honey, is sourced from Spain. According to the brand, the new product offers "a delicate warmth that lingers beautifully."
