Meghan Markle has faced fresh criticism over reports she plans to relocate to Australia for upcoming work commitments, just months after moving her children from California to the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a return to the UK at the end of August. It has been confirmed that Meghan will star on the upcoming series of Junior MasterChef Australia next year, although it has not yet been officially confirmed whether Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be joining her.
Family commitments under scrutiny
The couple have previously stated that they do not like to spend more than 10 days away from their children, which suggests they could be planning to relocate the children to Australia with them, although the length of time has not been confirmed.
Archie and Lilibet, now aged seven and five, have spent most of their childhood in California and recently started at a school in the UK. Harry recently confirmed via his GQ interview that his children were "loving" their new school.
School changes questioned
It was previously reported that the couple withdrew Archie and Lilibet from their first school in the UK due to security concerns on the school run. They are now known to have settled well into a new school, with no details released to protect their privacy.
On the latest episode of The Sun's Royal Exclusive, host and royal correspondent Sarah Hewson said: "Career-wise for her, it's, you know, it's good news. What about for the kids who they've just brought over to the UK, got settled in a new school. Is that going to change anything or do we think the kids will be going?"
Unanswered questions over filming
The Sun's royal editor Matt Wilkinson replied: "The children thing is a really interesting thing because we know that they've already changed schools once. They said they were coming back to the UK for the children's schooling. So these are unanswered questions... I imagine it's not going be an exceptionally long period for Meghan and Harry. I mean, are they going to end up taking kids to another school? Is it going to be another um you know, traffic crisis outside of school in Sydney or Melbourne or something? But yeah, I would really like a little kind of welcome break..."
Ms Hewson added that if the trip occurred during the school holidays, Harry could take a trip to Australia with their children. She added: "[They could] take the kids to go out and see mum while she's working".
Filming is reportedly set to take place between early and mid-2027. The Sussex family could be set to return to the US to spend Christmas with Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland, although this has not been confirmed.
