Megan Fox is reportedly unbothered by her ex Machine Gun Kelly's new relationship with actress Dakota Johnson, according to sources who spoke to TMZ. The actress, 40, has no plans to rekindle things with the rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, despite their turbulent on-off romance.
Megan and MGK's History
Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, 36, got together in 2020 and were engaged by 2022, but the engagement was called off in 2024. In November of that year, Fox shared that she was pregnant, and the pair now have an 18-month-old daughter named Sage.
Their relationship has since ended, and MGK has now been linked to Dakota Johnson. The two are said to be growing closer and going on secret dates after meeting at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.
Sources on Fox's Reaction
A source told TMZ that Fox does not care about the new romance. They added that she was planning on remaining single for the foreseeable future, while she focuses on her career and being a mother.
A source also told US Weekly last month that Fox and MGK "only communicate about their daughter," as they know that they "have toxic tendencies" and feel it's better this way.
MGK and Dakota Johnson's Relationship
MGK has seemed to move on with Dakota, who has starred in films such as Madame Web, 50 Shades of Grey, and Verity. A source told People: "They both really like each other and have been seeing each other more frequently. They haven't put a label on their relationship yet, but they're growing closer every time they hang out."
Speaking to Vogue, Dakota said she tries not to comment on dating rumours: "People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that. I would much rather focus on other things in my life. Every day, there’s something on the internet that’s ridiculous and true or not true, and I don’t care."
Fox's Past Comments and MGK's Recent Links
After confirming their engagement had ended on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Fox said: "I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption. I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain."
The source added that the rapper will always have a place in his heart for Fox but "gave up pursuing a romantic relationship with her several months ago." MGK is the third musician Dakota has been linked to in recent years, as she dated Chris Martin for eight years between 2017 and 2025, and Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, from December 2025 to August 2026.
