Recent Burglary at Their Cheshire Home
This personal revelation comes shortly after news emerged about a burglary at the couple's lavish new Cheshire mansion last month. The property, which they had recently moved into and is reportedly rented for approximately £20,000 per month, was targeted by thieves who made off with thousands of pounds worth of possessions including designer clothing, jewellery, and electronics.
Cheshire Police confirmed to the Daily Mail that possessions had been stolen and that enquiries into the robbery remain ongoing. Ruben reportedly discovered the burglary upon returning home to find the residence turned upside down with valuable items missing. Maya was filming for Love Island in South Africa at the time of the incident.
A source close to the couple revealed: 'They are devastated. The house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them. Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded.'
The insider added to The Sun: 'Maya was very proud to move into her first home with Ruben and took lots of videos and pictures while in the house which she posted on her social media. Previously in their relationship, she was back and forth from London and he was living in a city centre flat. That's why this property means so much to them.'
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police provided additional details: 'Shortly after 11.10pm on Wednesday 28 January, police received reports of a burglary at an address in Woodbrook Road, Alderley Edge.'
Maya Jama continues to balance her high-profile television career with her personal life, navigating the challenges of international work commitments while maintaining her relationship with Ruben Dias and dealing with the aftermath of their home invasion.
