Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have given fans a rare glimpse into family life with their daughter Palma during a sunny getaway abroad. The former TOWIE star, 39, shared a series of snaps from the trip on Instagram, including sweet moments with his 18-month-old daughter.
Beach and Harbour Moments
One picture showed Mark enjoying the beach in Calvin Klein swimming trunks, prompting a cheeky response from his sister Jess, who commented: "Can't believe you posted the pants one." Other photos captured Michelle, 39, walking hand-in-hand with Palma by a harbour, while another showed the toddler perched on her dad's shoulders as they explored the town together.
Mark summed up the family break by writing: "It was a special week making special memories." Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: "Absolutely beautiful of you and your daughter Palma." Another added: "That's what having kids is all about - precious memories. Hold on to them."
Recent Paris Trip
The getaway comes shortly after Mark treated Michelle to a romantic trip to Paris last month. The actress had apparently been hinting for months that she wanted to see Celine Dion perform in the city, and Mark made her wish come true with the surprise weekend away. Michelle has been a fan of the singer for years; back in 2019, she travelled to Las Vegas to watch Celine perform and shared an emotional tribute to the star on social media.
Recalling how her love of Celine began, Michelle explained that her mum would play the singer's music during road trips when she was a child, turning the volume up so loudly that the car windows would vibrate. She wrote at the time: "I grew up learning her songs inside out." Michelle added that finally seeing Celine live was an unforgettable experience, admitting she cried, screamed and "fangirled" during the performance.
Balancing Motherhood and Career
Away from family life, Michelle has recently spoken candidly about the challenges of balancing motherhood with her acting career. The actress starred as DI Emma Crane in ITV crime drama The Blame, having accepted the role before giving birth to Palma. Speaking to Grazia, she admitted she had not fully appreciated how difficult it would be to manage long filming days while caring for a young child.
"Listen, I think I went in blinded," she said. "Obviously I agreed to the role before I had Palma, because I was so excited by it. I think you just believe that you're going to be fine. And of course I can do it, loads of women work full-time and are a mum. But it is hard. It's really hard." Michelle explained that after spending long days on set, she would return home to learn lines for the following day while also looking after Palma during the night.
She praised Mark for the support he has given her, describing him as a brilliant partner and a great dad. Although she is grateful for the help of both sides of their family, Michelle admitted that juggling her career and motherhood has left her exhausted. "Thank God I've got the support system with Mark, and his family and my family have been brilliant as well," she said. "But I'm not going to lie. It's tough… I'm absolutely shattered."
