£30,000 spent on cosmetic procedures

Mitchell Jones, a 25-year-old hairdresser from Chatham, Kent, has spent approximately £30,000 on cosmetic surgery to transform his appearance. His goal is to become what he calls an 'alien Barbie doll'. He regularly stacks four to six pairs of false eyelashes and wears exclusively pink clothing, a decision he made overnight. Mitchell has been fascinated with cosmetic enhancements since his teenage years, starting Botox at age 17, followed by a nose job, veneers, and a lip lift.

Dream look and motivation

Mitchell says, 'I love having cosmetic procedures because I love customising myself. I have my own idea of perfection. I think there is a big stigma that people have cosmetic surgery because they are insecure. However, in my case, I get surgery because I have my own idea of beauty and know exactly how I want to look.' He adds, 'If I want to change something, why not change it? Surgery has changed my life and made me a much happier person.'

Pink obsession and eyelash routine

Wearing pink was an overnight decision for Mitchell. 'The colour made me happy, so I decided why not just wear it every day? It makes me happy. Other colours don't make me happy like pink does,' he says. He has even worn pink to funerals. His false eyelashes are a signature accessory; he feels incomplete without them. 'Fake eyelashes changed my life and I feel like a freak without them,' he explains. 'I wear four to six pairs of lashes at a time so it's a constant expense buying new lashes. I always have to keep a few spare pairs because my biggest nightmare is losing them.'

Online following and trolling

Mitchell has built a loyal following on TikTok, amassing over 1.1 million likes since launching his account in 2021. However, he faces daily hate comments. 'The only hate comments that really stand out to me are people saying that my family should be ashamed of me. I am very close with my family and just because I wear makeup, it makes me upset that people think they should be ashamed of me because of how I look,' he says.

Future plans: facelift before 30

Mitchell plans to undergo a facelift before turning 30. 'My biggest fear is ageing. I never go in the sun and I have been having Botox since I was 17. I will stop at no limit to achieve my goal look. I don't want to look conventionally beautiful. I want to look like an alien Barbie doll and I will stop at nothing to look how I want to look,' he states. He believes beauty is subjective: 'Just because other people may think it's extreme, to me it's normal.'
