MAFS Star Sam Stanton's Shirtless Festival Performance Stuns Crowd

Married At First Sight participant Sam Stanton displayed his impressive physical conditioning during a vibrant performance at the Adelaide Fringe Festival this past weekend. The 34-year-old fitness studio proprietor captivated the audience by removing his shirt to reveal a well-defined six-pack abdominal region during the Old Town Road country dance celebration.

Energetic Stage Presence and Western Theme

Video footage captured by Daily Mail shows Stanton confidently positioned at the center of the stage, wearing only blue denim jeans and a black cowboy hat as he executed a spirited country dance routine. His muscular upper body and toned abdominal muscles were prominently displayed throughout the performance.

Two female dancers accompanied Stanton, dressed in glittering pink tank tops, denim shorts, and white cowboy boots, completing their Western-inspired outfits with cowboy hats and colorful bandanas. Behind the performers, a glowing "Old Town Road" sign illuminated the stage as the trio performed synchronized movements to the country music track "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" by Big & Rich.

During the routine, Stanton appeared to wipe perspiration from his face while the enthusiastic audience cheered him on. At another moment, he removed his cowboy hat mid-performance before continuing to dance alongside his fellow performers, who interacted playfully with the crowd throughout the show.

Surprising Connection to Former MAFS Participant

This festival appearance follows revelations from former Married At First Sight groom Eliot Donovan about his unexpected history with Stanton. Donovan shared a throwback photograph on TikTok showing the two men together at a bar in Saint Martin in 2014, years before either participated in the reality television program.

The image depicts a younger Donovan and Stanton sitting side-by-side in sleeveless tank tops, each holding a beer while smiling for the camera. Donovan displays a relaxed hand gesture while Stanton grins broadly with his arm casually draped around his future MAFS colleague.

"So I actually know the new masked villain that's coming on, this guy," Donovan stated in his video before clarifying, "I'm just kidding, he's not a villain." He explained that the pair originally met over a decade ago while both working as personal trainers.

"We met back in 2014 though, there's a photo of us together at a bar in Saint Martin," Donovan revealed. "I took over a ship that he was working on. I'll never forget, everyone on the ship was obsessed with this guy. They were like, 'Oh my God, he's so amazing.'"

Despite initially questioning Stanton's widespread popularity among the crew, Donovan eventually concluded that his colleague was genuinely impressive. "We ended up meeting up later on and he is just a really genuine, sweet guy," Donovan affirmed.

Current MAFS Developments and Personal Reflections

Although the two men have not maintained contact in recent years, Donovan expressed support for Stanton's participation in the current season of Married At First Sight. "I do really hope that he finds love on the show and I'm so grateful someone genuine and positive is coming into the experiment," Donovan commented, adding that he finds the current season particularly contentious.

Meanwhile, Stanton has been navigating his own challenges within the MAFS experiment, recently addressing his husband Chris's unexpected revelation about having a child. "I think there's definitely reasons that I should have known upfront what I was walking into," Stanton told Daily Mail, while also expressing understanding for his partner's timing in sharing the information.

Regarding their initial connection during the televised wedding ceremony, Stanton admitted, "I wouldn't say it was instant connection. I turned around and I was like, 'Oh, this guy's handsome - beautiful blue eyes, good looking dude - but it was definitely like, you're a stranger. I don't know you at all.'"

Stanton has also been vocal about criticizing certain behaviors among other participants, specifically targeting fellow groom Tyson's treatment of women. "What I'm not liking is seeing this Sergeant Tyson and the way that he speaks to women," Stanton stated. "I think that's the problem with him. He really has some misogynistic values deep in him."

As relationships develop and tensions emerge within the experiment, Stanton hinted at possible conflicts between couples while maintaining his commitment to authentic participation. "I was never ever going to stay if I found out it wasn't going to work for whatever reason," he emphasized. "I'm not just going to stay there for no reason."

The Adelaide Fringe Festival, renowned for its diverse programming of comedy, theater, and live performances, provided the backdrop for Stanton's memorable country-themed dance display, which proved particularly popular with festival attendees.
