Nicolas Cage was joined by his wife Riko Shibata at the Spider-Noir premiere in New York City on Wednesday evening. The 62-year-old actor and his fifth wife, 31, put on a cozy display as they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.
Cage wore a slim-fitting dark suit, white shirt, and patterned navy blue tie. The actor, who shares three-year-old daughter August with Shibata, was clean-shaven and sported freshly dyed dark hair that was slicked back.
Shibata was clad in a long, pleated black skirt with a matching form-fitting top, layered over a white shirt with black lace netting covering the sleeves. Her long, glossy straight hair fell to her waist, and she had face-framing bangs cut just above her eyes. The outside corners of her eyes were dabbed with red shadow, matching the brick-toned matte hue on her lips. She flaunted a multicolor manicure with hues of blue, green, and cream.
Cage met Shibata during a trip to Japan in 2020. They married in 2021 when he was 57 and she was 26, in an intimate wedding at the Wynn Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. The Con Air star was previously married to Patricia Arquette (1995–2001), Lisa Marie Presley (2002–2004), Alice Kim (2004–2016), and Erika Koike (for four days in 2019). In addition to August, he is a father to two sons: Weston, 35, with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton, and Kal-El, 20, with ex-wife Kim.
The superhero series Spider-Noir is Cage's first lead TV role. Based on the Marvel Comics character, the show is set in an alternate world based on 1930s New York. The Oscar winner portrays the aging private investigator Ben Reilly, also known as The Spider – an older, hardened version of Spider-Man. He previously played an iteration of Spider-Man Noir in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
Other cast members include Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson as villain Silvermane, Jack Huston as Flint Marko, Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy, Karen Rodriguez as Janet Ruiz, and Abraham Popoola as Tombstone (Lonnie Lincoln).
At the premiere, co-stars Huston, Morris, and Cage gathered for a photo. Huston, 43, looked timeless in a monochrome black outfit, while Morris, 42, modeled a pinstripe dark gray suit and a striped tie.
Chinese-American actress Li Jun Li, 42, looked incredible in a sheer, crystal-covered dress with side cutouts at the midriff, teasing her toned tummy. She flashed a pair of black underwear underneath the see-through getup and rounded out the look with open-toe black heels. Her raven-hued tresses were styled in a sleek updo, complemented by red lipstick and red nail polish.
Karen Rodriguez, 30, turned heads in a cleavage-flashing bright red dress with ruffles. She teased her involvement in the upcoming show on Instagram in December 2025, writing, 'The city needs a hero…hopefully they find someone. Spider-Noir – a new live action series starring Nicolas Cage, @lamorne, @lijunli, @abesees, @thejackhuston, Brendan Gleeson and me arrives 2026 in both black & white AND color.'
British actor Abraham Popoola, 34, was fashion-forward in a navy and red pinstripe suit. He sported bleach blonde hair, a full beard, and gold mouth grillz. Popoola signed on to star opposite Cage in July 2024. On February, he gave his Instagram followers an update, writing alongside promotional posters, 'Let’s start from the beginning. The Spider-Noir teaser trailer arrives tomorrow.'
Costume designer Trayce Gigi looked stunning in a daringly low-cut amber-colored dress. Gigi is vying for an Emmy following her work on the show, as she posted on Instagram this week: 'Emmy submissions are upon us. June 11th! FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: @SpiderNoirPrime Best Costume Design in the Period Category.'
