Liam Gallagher says he feels like he is “exorcising demons” in the trailer for the Oasis documentary, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, which follows him and his brother Noel as they undertake their Live 25 tour.

The trailer, released by Disney Plus on Tuesday, opens with audio of news reports and the brothers speaking about their infamous feuding, while old and new footage of them rehearsing and performing plays.

Tour and Reunion

It then shows advertisements promoting their tour, which one newsreader says in a voiceover many people thought would “never happen”. Liam references their 2009 split: “The way it finished, unacceptable. It didn’t sit right with me, man.”

His older brother says: “I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam. I don’t really want to be going back with the tension; will it fall apart again?” The two-minute trailer then shows a priest giving a sermon about forgiveness, with Noel calling their reunion “one of the biggest moments in our lives”.

Emotional Impact

Liam adds: “I feel like I’m exercising demons getting it all out. Rage. Just pure anger… I need to calm the f*** down.” A montage shows fans at their shows in countries including Wales, Brazil and Argentina.

Addressing their blow-ups, Liam says they both said “shit they didn’t mean” in the past, adding: “That’s the way it is when you miss people.” Noel admits he “forgot” what his brother “means to people” and says he “certainly wasn’t prepared for the intense outpouring (and) the sense of what it meant to people”. He is then heard saying they have a chance to “change the narrative of the band”.

Release Details

The documentary was created by Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. It will be released in cinemas on September 9 and on Disney Plus. The streaming service describes it as following the Gallaghers’ “triumphant reunion tour”.

“Oasis Live 25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time,” it says. “The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world.”

The film will have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival next month. Festival artistic director Alberto Barbera previously said: “The two brothers who have not spoken to each other for 12 years that dissolved one of the most famous rock bands in England at the time, but after so many years they unexpectedly reconcile and they start rehearsing for the formidable world tour that would follow.”

The reunion tour was announced in August 2024, 15 years after the band’s split in 2009, prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France. Oasis have had eight number one singles and albums each in the UK charts, with hits including Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Some Might Say.
