Leigh-Anne Pinnock has responded to critics who questioned her for embracing her baby bump during her third trimester, sharing a video and caption that dismissed their opinions.
The 35-year-old Little Mix star, who is promoting her appearance on Celebrity Traitors while pregnant with her third child, posted an Instagram video showing her in a striped blue two-piece, dancing and touching her stomach. In the background, she sings: 'Throw your dumb opinions out the window… I don't want know.'
Her caption doubled down on the message, reading: 'Throw your dumb opinions out the window… free the bump'.
Support from co-stars and fans
The mother of twins received backing in the comments, with some wondering if the singing hinted at new music. Laura Whitmore wrote 'We love to see x', while Celebrity co-star Hannah Fry said: 'Well I think you look AMAZING!'. Maya Jama added 'Most beautiful bump!!', and Tulisa commented a series of heart emojis. Fans also praised her, with one writing 'I'm so ready for this fiery new era' and another saying 'Leigh-Anne is clapping her haters right back!!!'.
Pregnancy kept secret during filming
Pinnock kept her pregnancy hidden from her co-stars while filming the BBC reality series earlier this year. Banished Faithful Julie Hesmondhalgh told BBC Breakfast she was surprised to learn about it afterwards.
'Leigh-Anne's quiet, Leigh-Anne's gorgeous, she's such a beautiful person. I think Leigh-Anne will come into her own actually. I'm sure she was pregnant while we were doing it as well. I just couldn't believe that when I heard afterwards. None of us knew. I mean, how she did it I have no idea,' Hesmondhalgh said, adding that she thinks the star will 'go a long way' on the show.
