Lee Andrews has spoken out in his first video since his release from prison, thanking his wife Katie Price for her efforts in securing his freedom. The controversial businessman, who married the former glamour model in January just days after meeting, was recently released from Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai.
First Video Since Release
In a social media video, Andrews, sporting longer hair, said: "Hi everyone this is Lee I've been missing now for several weeks and I can now tell you I am now safe and healthy and with my wife." He claimed he was taken by "men with assault rifles" who thought he was a spy.
Andrews clarified: "At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or criminal activities. So I'm sending these messages out to my loved ones and my beautiful wife, who, without her help involving all the UK authorities, I don't think I would have got out of that situation."
Gratitude to Katie Price
He thanked Katie for raising awareness of his plight, adding: "Thank you to Katie for making such a noise, where the UAE actually listened and let me go." He also mentioned a civil case in Dubai that led to his imprisonment during the Eid holidays, but he was able to secure his release.
Katie Price's Stance
Earlier, Katie Price admitted she is ready to end the marriage if she does not like what Lee has to say. She told The Sun: "I'm not a mug and when I finally see Lee, I'm going to question him. And if the answers I get aren't right, that'll be it, I'll be done."
Katie had claimed Lee was kidnapped after receiving concerning messages before his planned flight from Dubai to appear on Good Morning Britain. She later revealed he had a travel ban, which he had not disclosed.
