Kylie Jenner has revealed that she 'freaked out' upon discovering she was pregnant with her first child at just 19 years old. The reality star and makeup mogul, now 28, was 20 when she gave birth to daughter Stormi in 2018, and admitted she was terrified to inform her parents, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, about the pregnancy.
'I was freaking out. I was really scared to tell my parents. I was really scared,' she shared on Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast. However, when she finally told them, 'no one was mad.'
She added: 'But there was something just inside of me that knew that I wanted to do this, and I had to make a decision for myself. And even if I have to do this alone, or however, this is the choice that I'm going to make.'
Second Pregnancy Complications
During the same podcast, Kylie also discussed her second pregnancy with son Aire, now four. She revealed she was placed on bed rest because the baby was 'falling out' of her body. The Kylie Cosmetics founder shares both children with former partner Travis Scott, from whom she split in January 2023, and is now in a relationship with Timothée Chalamet.
Kylie reflected on the stark differences between her two pregnancies. She had been struggling with back pain for over three years, but it worsened when expecting Aire. At around 12 weeks pregnant, she woke up unable to walk. Despite being in the 'best shape' of her life, she experienced 'crazy sciatica pain and crazy lower back pain.'
She noted that her doctor advised her not to move around, adding: 'And lots of things were happening with my vagina. I was three centimeters dilated for like a month and a half, two months, the baby was falling out.'
Kylie also gained 65 pounds during her second pregnancy, weighing 210 pounds at birth. She turned to food to combat 'horrible nausea,' admitting: 'I ate everything. I ate a pint of ice cream every night — I just dove right in. I had lots of ice cream. Just lots of carbs. Bagels.'
