Kelly Osbourne has spoken publicly about the profound grief of losing her father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, on what would have been his 77th birthday.
An Emotional Day of Remembrance
The daughter of the Black Sabbath frontman described the day as deeply "emotional" as she marked the occasion. Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 after suffering a heart attack, leaving behind his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly.
To honour him, Kelly visited the now-iconic Black Sabbath bench in Birmingham, a site that has become a focal point for fan tributes. She shared a photograph from her visit on Instagram, sitting surrounded by floral offerings left by devoted followers.
Kelly's Heartfelt Words for Her Father
In a poignant caption accompanying the image, Kelly wrote a direct message to her late father. "Happy birthday daddy you most certainly did not die an ordinary man!" she began.
She continued, "Life without you is hard but not a day goes by that I don't dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy! I miss you more than anything in the world. I love you until eternity! What I would not give to watch you blow out just one more candle."
A City's Love and a Brother's Absence
Speaking to BBC Radio West Midlands presenter Ed James, Kelly emphasised what the bench and the city meant to her father. "The bench means so much to him. To see the outpouring of love, and respect, and condolence, and just everything this city has given him, is beyond words," she said. She added that Birmingham "meant everything to my father".
The day was made more difficult by the physical absence of her brother, Jack Osbourne, who is currently competing in the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! reality show in Australia. Kelly admitted, "I can't lie today is really hard without my brother. I would give anything to just be able to talk to him! However he needs to keep kicking butt in the jungle!"
Sharon Osbourne also paid tribute to her husband on the significant day. In her own Instagram post, she wrote, "I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side. My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born."
The family's public reflections highlight the ongoing process of mourning a global icon, while also celebrating his life and enduring legacy as they face their first Christmas without him.
