Kelly Osbourne has showcased her latest appearance on Instagram, declaring she is "back to her best" months after condemning online trolls who criticised her looks following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. The reality TV star and musician posted a series of photos on Friday, smiling while modelling a black slip dress paired with gold jewellery.
Trolls Targeted Kelly After BRIT Awards Appearance
Her positive update comes after she spoke out in March against cruel comments she received while attending the BRIT Awards in Manchester. She was there to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award for her father, but instead of celebrating the Prince of Darkness' legacy, she became the target of nasty remarks. Kelly described the experience as "dehumanising" during what she called "the worst time in my life."
In a defiant Instagram statement, she wrote: "There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. Kicking me while I'm down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most." She also told Us Weekly: "I will be honest and say that I've never experienced cruelty like it. And I don't think anyone deserves that kind of cruelty."
Weight Loss Linked to Grief and Drug Rumours
Kelly explained that her weight loss stemmed from struggling to eat after losing her father, whom she described as her "best friend." She slammed those who criticised her appearance, emphasising the pain of grieving publicly. However, rumours have circulated that she used weight-loss drugs. Last month, family friend DJ Fat Tony claimed Kelly had turned to such medication, but not for weight loss. He said: "Kelly was using it not to lose weight; Kelly was using it for her other life problems. But we're all so opinionated, aren't we? God forbid someone loses too much weight." Kelly has consistently denied using any such drugs.
Recent Fashion Event Sparks More Troll Attacks
Days before her latest post, after a London Fashion Week event, Kelly revealed that a troll had told her she looked like a "dead" body. Despite the ongoing harassment, she continues to share her life and style with followers, most recently posing with her mother Sharon, 73, on the red carpet at the BRITs, where she wore a floor-length black dress with a black feather stole and gold necklaces, including a crucifix.
