Katie Price has shared the first photo of her husband Lee Andrews following his release from a Dubai jail. The self-described millionaire had been incarcerated in Dubai's infamous Al Awir prison for four weeks on suspicion of fraud, despite his claims of being detained for espionage.
First Photo After Release
Lee Andrews was photographed appearing fresh-faced and cheerful as wife Katie Price posted the first image of him after his prison stint. In the photograph, Lee is wearing a baseball cap, appears sun-kissed, and grins widely during a FaceTime conversation with Katie.
Upon securing his release, Lee telephoned his wife, who is reported to have contributed not a single penny towards his £140,000 release fund. Katie subsequently shared photographs of their conversation with the Sun.
Insider Claims
An insider told The Sun: "Lee is out, and back in his rental. He called Kate straight away and she was thrilled – not least because she didn't pay a penny of the £140,000 fine to get him out."
They added: "Of course, she has heard the discourse surrounding him, and she's not stupid. She knows the optics aren't great if she stays with this man. But as any woman who has been love-bombed knows, it's hard to leave when you're being treated so well. For whatever reason, she still loves him and is hugely physically attracted to him."
The source continued: "But make no bones about it: Lee is a conman and a fraud and there must be consequences to his despicable actions. She must leave this man."
Katie's Response
Eager to reassure supporters that this is not a publicity stunt designed to attract media coverage, she firmly told the publication: "This is real, this is real life; this is my life. It has been a tough few weeks, don't get me wrong. But I've still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face."
Katie, who shares two children with Peter Andre, continued: "So, in this situation, I'm doing what I want to do, and I'm out here in Dubai, because I'm here to help Lee. Some people might not like my choices, but I'm not living for everyone else."
This follows Katie's earlier claim that her husband, who has yet to visit her in the UK, had been abducted.
