Katie Price has reportedly been dealt another major blow after her alleged conman husband, Lee Andrews, has found himself in trouble with the police again. According to reports, he has been allegedly arrested again in Dubai just weeks after being released from prison, following the glamour model going public to report him missing.
Arrest Details and Financial Struggles
According to The Sun, Andrews, 42, was taken to Lahbab Police Station on Friday while attempting to raise around £120,000 that he reportedly believed he owed. The reported arrest comes barely a month after the businessman spent four weeks behind bars at Dubai’s Al Awir prison over separate financial matters.
A friend close to Andrews opened up to the publication and said he had been in contact with him panicking. The friend said Andrews had sent a message saying: "They’ve arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a Go Fund Me."
Katie Price's Whereabouts
It is believed Katie, 48, is not in Dubai helping him and remains in the UK with her son Harvey, while she awaits news on his fate. The friend said Andrews had become increasingly stressed in the days before the reported arrest because he was trying to raise money to settle what he believed he owed and knew his time was running out.
Previous Arrest and Outstanding Debts
It is reported that Andrews' previous arrest was over outstanding debts that were accumulated while living in the UAE. The claims relate to an alleged unpaid luxury hire car bill dating back to 2022, reportedly worth around £54,000, as well as an alleged £15,000 debt to a UAE law firm that remains unpaid. At the time, Andrews’ legal issues were said to stem from unpaid debts rather than new criminal allegations.
Katie Price's Documentary
The latest blow comes in the same week that the new Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, was aired, with the former glamour model telling her version of events about her life, finances and relationships. Throughout the series, Price insisted that she wanted the programme to "show the truth" rather than a polished version of events.
