The businessman shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday, explaining his disappearance. He said he was taken near the border by armed men and held at a black site without access to his phone.
Lee stated: 'I've been missing now for several weeks. I can tell you I'm now safe and healthy and with my wife. I was taken close to the border by men at gunpoint, then I was captured with assault rifles.'
He added that he was suspected of espionage due to regional tensions and his proximity to the border, and was held without the ability to contact his family or the embassy.
Katie Price's Role in His Release
Lee credited his wife Katie Price with securing his release, saying: 'Thank you to Katie for making such a noise, where the UAE actually listened and let me go.'
Katie re-shared the videos on her Instagram story, adding the words 'I love you' while tagging Lee's username. The couple tied the knot in January after confirming their engagement.
