Katie Price has shared a photo of her son Harvey taking up boxing in the gym, after he lost two stone since starting Mounjaro weight loss jabs.
The 48-year-old reality star posted the image on social media, showing her 24-year-old son hitting the pads at a boxing class. Harvey has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that can cause excessive appetite, behavioural issues, learning difficulties and physical symptoms.
Weight loss progress
Harvey previously weighed just under 30 stone, and Katie had voiced fears he could suffer a heart attack. He has since shed two stone after beginning Mounjaro treatment.
Katie captioned the boxing photo with "Proud mummy" and a green heart emoji, the colour of Harvey's favourite animal, a frog.
Podcast comments
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, with sister Sophie, Katie said: "He's started Mounjaro because I told you he's lost two stone. And I can really see him here [points to stomach] losing weight."
She had earlier told Andrew Gold's Heretics podcast: "I'm not worried about his eyesight. What I'm worried about is him having a heart attack, his obesity. He weighs just under 30 stone."
Health concerns
Katie continued: "I've tried going private with him to start him on Mounjaro, but because of his medical… it's easy for me to just give it, but because of his other medication, you have to have all the team tick it off.
"It's getting to a point now, where he doesn't want to walk anywhere, he gets out of breath and sweats and they have said he is at high risk of having a heart attack."
She added: "You try to [force him to walk] but he literally breaks into a sweat. I bath him twice a day and it breaks my heart seeing him get in and out of the bath because he's so big and heavy."
Residential care move
The mum-of-five revealed Harvey's Mounjaro treatment when he moved to adult residential care in January. She said: "Things are definitely going to change for Harvey when we move 'cos although he's moving to adult residential, he's also going to be starting the Mounjaro where we can keep an eye on it."
She added: "So he'll be losing weight. It's just a completely different life away from college."
