Katie Price has been officially dropped by a prominent domestic abuse charity following a controversial outburst on her Instagram account. The former glamour model, who recently married Lee Andrews, has seen her partnership with Woman's Trust terminated after she posted a scathing message directed at her husband's ex-girlfriend, Alana.
Charity Severs Ties After Social Media Controversy
Woman's Trust, a specialist mental health charity providing free counselling and therapy for women affected by domestic abuse, has confirmed that Katie Price is no longer affiliated with their organisation. The decision comes after Price's Instagram post, which contained personal attacks and inappropriate language.
The charity stated clearly: "Katie Price previously supported Woman's Trust through fundraising. We are grateful to everyone who supports us. She is not currently affiliated with or formally associated with the organisation."
The Instagram Post That Sparked the Fallout
In her now-controversial Instagram post, Katie Price wrote directly to her husband's ex-girlfriend, stating: "I know rejection doesn't seem feel nice and I'm married to @wesleeandrews the man you want and will never have again. Your constant lies and put downs is clearly showing how bitter you are, go live your life little girl."
The post continued with increasingly personal remarks, including: "I know all about you and who you are at least I'm the real woman he has found and deserves, but please just enjoy watching us build out empire as I'm having his child I'll enjoy the ride and big d**k energy now that I'm in the saddle."
Previous Charity Partnership and Its Demise
Katie Price had partnered with Woman's Trust in December, expressing her commitment to supporting women affected by domestic abuse. At the time of the partnership announcement, she wrote: "I'm so proud to be partnering with Woman's Trust. So many women silently carry the pain of domestic abuse, not just physically but emotionally and in their minds too."
She added: "If my voice can help shine a light on a charity that's giving free counselling and real long-term support, then I'm all in. We need to talk honestly about the mental impact domestic abuse leaves behind."
However, the recent Instagram outburst appears to have contradicted the values and mission of the domestic abuse charity, leading to the termination of their association.
Charity's Focus Remains Unchanged
Despite the controversy surrounding Katie Price's departure, Woman's Trust emphasised that their primary mission remains unchanged. The charity stated: "Our focus remains on providing specialist mental health support for women affected by domestic abuse."
The organisation continues to offer crucial services including free counselling sessions, therapeutic support, and long-term assistance for women rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic abuse.
This development highlights the challenges public figures face when representing charitable organisations, particularly those dealing with sensitive issues like domestic abuse. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining appropriate conduct when associated with such causes.
