England and Real Madrid footballer Jude Bellingham has been announced as the new face of Calvin Klein, modelling the brand's underwear in a campaign shot in Madrid.
The 23-year-old, who led his club to the UEFA Champions League this season, posed for the designer brand in their Icon Cotton Stretch underwear. The photos were taken by Oliver Hadlee Pearch in Madrid last summer.
A Star-Studded Campaign
The underwear ads have been a hot topic since they launched in the 1980s, with celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Jeremy Allen White, and Michael B. Jordan fronting the annual shoot. Bellingham now joins this line-up, stepping into the shoes of previous model David Beckham.
In a statement, Bellingham said: "I really enjoyed working on this campaign. I liked the idea of 'the icon underneath' - that confidence starts with feeling comfortable in yourself."
Teaser Campaign
Before his debut on Monday, November 2, the brand teased the collaboration with a billboard in SoHo, New York City, featuring Bellingham's abs without showing his face. A similar teaser was dropped on Instagram on October 27, with the caption: "The next icon. Coming soon."
The campaign is titled "The Icon Within" and features Bellingham in the brand's statement white pants.
