Jennifer Aniston Reveals Baby Struggles Led To Brad Pitt Divorce

Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her heartbreak over not being able to start a family with Brad Pitt, revealing that the couple's split was partly due to their differing desires for children. The Friends star, now 55, said she had always wanted to be a mother and had tried for years to get pregnant through IVF after her divorce.

In an unearthed interview with Vanity Fair from September 2005, Aniston, then 36, expressed her shock and upset over rumours that Angelina Jolie was already pregnant with Pitt's child, just two months before her divorce was finalised. The actress reportedly cried silently for several minutes during the interview, too hurt to answer questions.

Aniston said she had made a conscious choice to believe Pitt's denials of an affair with Jolie, but admitted: 'At this point, I wouldn't be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him.' However, her belief was shaken when pictures emerged of Pitt playing the doting dad to Jolie's adopted son Maddox on a beach in Africa in April 2005.

Despite the devastation, Aniston said she felt 'lucky to have experienced' her marriage to Pitt and would 'love him for the rest of my life'. Pitt later married Jolie, but they divorced in 2016. He reportedly apologised to Aniston in 2017 for being an 'absentee husband' and for leaving her for Jolie.
