Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has bravely opened up about the emotional turmoil following her split from footballer Scott Sinclair, revealing the heartbreaking challenges of co-parenting their three young children.
The 33-year-old actress, best known for her role as Rosie Webster on the ITV soap, admitted the separation has been "really hard" as she navigates life as a single mother to Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and two-year-old Charlie.
The Pain of Separation
Flanagan confessed: "It's been incredibly tough adjusting to this new chapter. When you've built a life and family with someone for nearly a decade, untangling everything is painful." The couple had been together for 13 years before announcing their separation in 2022.
Co-Parenting Challenges
The actress shared candid insights about the practical difficulties of shared parenting: "Trying to maintain stability for the kids while shuffling between homes is exhausting. You want to put on a brave face for them, but some days the emotions just overwhelm you."
Despite the challenges, Flanagan remains committed to creating a positive environment for her children: "What matters most is that the kids feel loved and secure. Scott and I are working hard to make co-parenting work for their sake."
Focusing on the Future
Now focusing on her acting career and wellbeing, Flanagan has been leaning on family support: "My mum's been amazing through all this. And my work helps - it's good to have creative outlets that are just for me."
The star recently returned to acting with a role in the horror film Pandemonium, marking a new professional chapter alongside her personal journey.
