Reality TV star Kerry Katona caused concern among viewers during an appearance on ITV's This Morning, where she appeared to slur her words and frequently looked around the studio for her husband, Mark Croft.
The 28-year-old, originally from Warrington but now living in Wilmslow, was discussing her recent cosmetic surgery when presenter Philip Schofield asked: 'You don't seem right to me, you've got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?'
Katona glanced off camera and seemed taken aback, replying: 'Is it?' She then admitted her speech might be slurred but attributed it to prescription medication, saying: 'That's because I'm on medication at night-time. I had some last night, didn't I Mark?' as she tried to spot her husband among the crew.
Schofield explained he was asking on behalf of viewers at home, noting that producers were already receiving calls about her behaviour. Co-presenter Fern Britton also questioned Katona about recent magazine claims that she had been drinking while on holiday. A visibly rattled but smiling Katona responded: 'No, not at all. I'm on holiday in Spain and I'm allowed to have a drink, aren't I?'
