Helen Flanagan clashes with Manchester traffic warden

Helen Flanagan has said she "might get arrested" after a furious run-in with a traffic warden in Manchester, despite having paid for her parking.

The 36-year-old actress, best known for playing Rosie Webster on the ITV soap Coronation Street, took to social media to recount the tense encounter after being issued a parking ticket.

Parking dispute over a courtesy car

In a video shared with fans, Flanagan explained: "I've got a courtesy car and I just parked in Manchester. I paid for my parking but because it's not my car I put O instead of zero."

She went on: "I could see one of the traffic wardens trying to put a ticket on my car and I said, 'no, I've paid for my ticket'. I am due my period so hell hath no fury if you get my wrath."

Flanagan said "Karma" was coming for the "horrible" ticket inspector, adding: "They think I'm going to get arrested. I might actually. I was like, 'you are the most horrible man I've ever met. Karma for you!'"

One of Flanagan's children could be heard in the background of the clip saying: "I don't want to go back."

Family news and mum guilt

Last week, Flanagan's ex Scott Sinclair revealed that their five-year-old son Charlie had to go to hospital. He posted a picture of the little one wearing an oxygen mask and giving a thumbs up to the camera, captioning it: "My little solider". Scott did not explain why Charlie needed treatment.

Helen and Scott share three children: Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and Charlie. They split in 2022 after 13 years together.

Flanagan recently opened up about feeling "mum guilt" while juggling her busy career with caring for her kids. She said: "Tired Mum. Overstimulated. Sick of the arguing. No words for how much I love them. Due my period. Feel like I've been the Wicked Witch of the West. Mum guilt. Love them so much. Not been able to get back to any of work email or [Whatsapps] or my friends."
