Glenn Close has revealed that she underwent a complete hip replacement after she was seen using a cane. The 79-year-old actress uploaded a video to her Instagram to explain why she was using it after some fans sent their well wishes.

She added: "Found out that my left hip was in really bad shape and my whole thing right now is to keep myself in running order so that I can really leap into whatever challenges come my way."

The Fatal Attraction star said she is looking forward to travelling to London for the opening of The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, followed by an event for the new season of All's Fair in New York City.
