The cast of Geordie Shore was forced to briefly stop filming the latest season of the explosive reality TV show after being chased by a 'crazy man' in Paris. News of the incident was shared on social media by Nathan Henry, 35, who posted a video of the cast walking around following the encounter.
Henry explained that the reality stars were approached by a stranger who then began following them. A shocked Nathan said in the clip: 'We've just been chased by a crazy man. So we've had to move locations because this crazy crazy guy… Parisian guy, who is following us. So we had to move for health and safety.'
The Daily Mail has reached out to Paramount+ for comment. This incident comes after Geordie Shore faced a brutal pay row and cast exodus that reportedly threatened to end the long-running programme for good.
The reality show launched on MTV in May 2011, with 26 series aired to date. Stars including Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby first found fame on the show. According to The Sun, the show was in chaos days before filming of the new series was due to start, with only six cast members confirmed to be returning: Gaz Beadle, Holly Hagan, Jay Gardner, Aaron Chalmers, Sophie Kasaei, and Ricci Guarnaccio.
Four cast members had quit the now-Paramount+ series: James Tindale, Abbie Holborn, Marnie Simpson, and Chloe Ferry. A source told the publication that the other cast members received an ultimatum: agree to a pay cut and less screen time, or lose their role on the show.
While the latest season got off to a tumultuous start, things appear to have turned around with the return of Abbie Holborn, 28. A source told The Sun: 'Abbie had originally said no for the upcoming run of Geordie Shore but became tempted by a very last minute deal. Bosses had already lost James, Marnie and Chloe and they didn't want to lose Abbie as well. She's such good pals with the core cast and it would have been strange for her not to be there.'
The 27th season of Geordie Shore will continue filming throughout the year and is expected to air in 2027. The show is available to stream on Paramount+.
