Former Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn has wowed fans with a glamorous makeover, roughly seven years after her character was written out of the soap. McGlynn, 33, remains widely recognised for portraying Sinead Tinker from 2013 to 2019, a character who ultimately passed away following a terminal cervical cancer storyline.
Glamorous Instagram Look
In recent posts on Instagram, McGlynn has been modelling a series of glamorous looks, with her latest images quickly drawing attention. Fans described her as bold, confident and beautiful, noting she appears worlds apart from the character many remember.
She uploaded several photographs with the caption: "Saints, sinners and chippy dinners. When Mamma tries to give main character energy, yet the puppy reminds her she's always the supporting cast." In one shot, her dog appears, though most attention remained on her outfit — a black jacket, short leather skirt and t-shirt, with her hair swept back, sunglasses perched on her head and smoky eye makeup.
Fan Reactions
Admirers responded with comments such as "So hot," "You look amazing," and "Absolutely stunning shot, you're glowing! Keep shining, sweetheart!" Others wrote "You look really gorgeous," "Breathtakingly beautiful," and "Katie you look stunning. Wow." Several followers also reacted with fire and heart-eye emojis.
McGlynn is not the only former Corrie actress to surprise fans recently. Earlier this month, Sue Cleaver also looked unrecognisable as she stepped into a new role.
Career Beyond Corrie
Beyond her time in Coronation Street, McGlynn has built a career as both an actress and a DJ. She appeared as Jodie "Scout" Allen in Waterloo Road between 2011 and 2013, and as Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, she competed in the nineteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing.
