Emmerdale Return Sealed to Kill Dr Todd After Assault

Emmerdale fans are convinced that a soap legend is set to return to the village to exact revenge on the evil Dr Todd following a horrifying sexual assault on Charity Dingle.

Dr Todd's Reign of Terror

Dr Todd, played by Caroline Harker, has been causing chaos in the village. Initially, she made medical student Jacob Sugden's life a nightmare, pushing him to his limits and gaslighting him. She then turned her attention to Charity Dingle, blackmailing her over the true parentage of Leyla Sugden and demanding £100,000 from the Woolpack co-owner.

The Sickening Assault

Recently, the storyline took a dark turn when Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity after she had passed out drunk. Charity woke up horrified, and Todd left the scene. The shocking scenes have sparked outrage among viewers.

Fans Demand Justice

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers are calling for Dr Todd's demise. Many believe that Charity's daughter, Debbie Dingle, played by Charley Webb, will return to kill the doctor. Debbie, who debuted in 2002, has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines but was last seen in 2021. Fans commented: "Dr Todd is pure evil, uncalled for. Hope she gets what's coming to her!" and "They should get Debbie back to sort her out."

Actress Speaks Out

Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, described the storyline as one of the most demanding she has ever tackled. She said: "This has been one of the most demanding and significant storylines I've had to navigate as Charity. We know her as a tough, resilient character, but this trauma will expose a deep, raw vulnerability that has been heartbreaking to play at times. I hope this storyline gives even one person the courage to speak out or helps others understand the quiet devastation of trauma."

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX. If you have been affected by sexual assault, help is available via www.rapecrisis.org.uk or the national helpline on 0808 802 9999.
