Lady Marina Windsor, granddaughter of the Duke and late Duchess of Kent, married Nico Macauley in a private ceremony at a country estate in Berkshire on Tuesday. The wedding is the second royal wedding of 2026.

Lady Marina, 33, announced her engagement on Instagram last June with a simple caption: 'Very happy'. The couple chose June 8 for their engagement announcement, which marked the wedding anniversary of her grandparents.

Born on September 30, 1992, at the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge, Lady Marina is the eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of St Andrews. She studied at St Mary's School, Ascot, and later French and Portuguese at the University of Edinburgh.

Until 2008, Lady Marina was 25th in line to the throne but forfeited her place upon being confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church, along with her elder brother. Her younger sister, Lady Amelia Windsor, remains in the line of succession.

Family members shared their congratulations on social media, including her brother Lord Downpatrick, who wrote 'So the hazing begins', and her sister Lady Amelia, who commented 'Yippeeee!'. Princess Alexandra's granddaughters also sent their support.
