Diddy rushed to hospital after head injury in prison

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been taken to hospital after a medical emergency in prison. The 56-year-old former music mogul was transported from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey at 1am on Saturday, according to TMZ.

Combs was said to be conscious throughout treatment, having suffered a head injury that was non-life-threatening. He was taken back to the prison before dawn, and it is currently unknown how he was hurt.

Previous prison incident

In July, he reportedly got into a fight with another inmate after being 'dissed' by the other prisoner, landing himself in solitary confinement.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence after a lengthy trial last year saw him convicted of transportation for prostitution. He is due to be released in May 2028, but this has since been moved forward to January 21, 2028.

Sentence and fine

Sources have claimed that Combs is living in luxury despite being behind bars, with access to a phone, alcohol, and a tablet on which he watches movies. He spent 13 months in prison during his trial, which will count towards his overall sentence, meaning he will serve three more years behind bars.

Combs has also been hit with a $500,000 (£371k) fine. The rapper was accused of running a sex trafficking operation and was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution of his former girlfriend, singer Ventura, and another woman, known as Jane, who had testified in the trial.

Trial outcome

Combs denied all allegations against him. In July, he was found not guilty of the most serious charge of racketeering conspiracy, as well as two charges of sex trafficking in relation to Ventura and Jane.
