Denise Welch has confirmed when her son, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, will marry his model fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel. The Loose Women star disclosed on the Tom Hirschsprung podcast that the couple will tie the knot in July 2026.
The 37-year-old singer got engaged to 28-year-old musician Gabbriette in 2024, when she showed off a striking black ring. At the time, she wrote on Instagram: "Marrying the 1975 is very Brat." Two years later, Denise, 68, shared the wedding date, saying: "Matty gets married in July, which we're very excited about. I'm very excited about that, that's wonderful."
In June 2024, the couple announced their engagement, and Denise expressed her joy on Loose Women days later. "Now that it's official... he's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel - Gabbriette she's known as," she said, adding: "I couldn't be more thrilled. We couldn't be happier - she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law."
Matty and Gabbriette were first seen together in September 2023, just nine months before their engagement. Denise is also mother to younger son Louis, who is currently starring in London's West End show Stranger Things On Stage. "My youngest son is playing the lead in Stranger Things, so I seem to go and see that every week - I love it!" she gushed. "I'm really proud, we've always encouraged the boys to do anything they want to do and to see them be so successful is all you want as a parent."
