The Guardian has issued corrections for two articles published on 7 July. In an interview with actor Helen Hunt, it was incorrectly stated that she did not know she would be starring alongside Kenneth Branagh before taking the role in The Cherry Orchard at the RSC. In fact, she was aware of this. The error was due to a transcription mistake. The article in question was titled 'Bored? You’re never good enough to get bored!' and appeared on page 8 of G2.
Santander Cycles Ebike Inclusion
Additionally, a separate article on the same date ('I was like a broken china doll', G2, p6) incorrectly claimed that London’s Santander Cycles hire scheme does not include ebikes. Contrary to that statement, the scheme does offer some electric bicycles.
Other Recently Amended Articles
The Guardian has also amended several other articles recently. These include a piece warning that the UK has 'no future' if it fails to act on ecosystem collapse threatening national security, an article about Coventry Cathedral glass engraving damaged during setup for a music event, a report on a 'life-saving' drug for people with opioid dependency being pulled from Australia by year-end, a feature questioning why young women should climb mountains but noting that hiking gives freedom, and a profile of Arthur Fery, the Wimbledon wildcard carrying Britain's hopes.
