Brooklyn Beckham Unfollows Gordon Ramsay After Chef's 'Remember Where You Came From' Warning
Brooklyn Beckham Unfollows Gordon Ramsay After Chef's Warning

Brooklyn Beckham has taken the significant step of unfollowing his father's closest friend, Gordon Ramsay, on Instagram. This digital snub comes directly after the renowned chef publicly urged the young Beckham to "remember where you came from" during the escalating family dispute with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

The Public Intervention

In a candid interview published on Friday evening, Gordon Ramsay, who has known Brooklyn since he was a small child, spoke out against the 26-year-old. Ramsay suggested that what he perceives as an "infatuation" with wife Nicola Peltz has driven Brooklyn's very public decision to sever ties with his famous parents.

"He's desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It's such a good thing to do," Ramsay stated. "But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you're not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop."

The Instagram Fallout

Observers noted that Brooklyn was still following Gordon Ramsay on Instagram as the interview hit newsstands on Friday night. However, by Saturday, the follow had been conspicuously removed. Notably, Ramsay remains able to follow Brooklyn's account, indicating that the ultimate social media rebuke—a complete block—has not yet been enacted, unlike the action Brooklyn has taken against his own parents.

Friends close to the Ramsay family suspect that both Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz are furious at Gordon's outspoken comments, believing his discussion of the rift has negatively impacted their public image. "Talk about being thin-skinned," remarked a mutual friend of the families. "Brooklyn and Nicola clearly don't want any criticism at all. They just don't want to hear any negativity about themselves. They must hate being talked about unless it's gushing. Maybe they don't like the truth."

Ramsay's Defence of the Beckhams

Gordon Ramsay, 59, whose son Jack was Brooklyn's closest childhood companion, expressed his belief that Brooklyn would eventually realize the importance of his parents. He insisted that both David and Victoria have been outstanding parents to Brooklyn and his three siblings.

"I've seen first-hand just how good parents they are," Ramsay asserted. "David as a dad is just incredible. They've both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they've got Brooklyn out of the s***. I think it's going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself and understands just what his parents mean to him."

Addressing the Wedding Controversy

In another clear indication that Ramsay is siding with David and Victoria, he directly refuted one of Brooklyn's key accusations. Last month, Brooklyn posted a six-page statement claiming that Victoria Beckham was responsible for publicly embarrassing him and leaving Nicola in tears by allegedly forcing her out of a pre-arranged wedding dance at their April 2022 reception in Florida.

"We were there at the wedding," Ramsay recalled. "There was nothing salacious. There was nothing inappropriate. Everyone was having fun, having a dance."

The Wider Family Feud

This incident is the latest development in a protracted and very public family conflict. In December, Brooklyn's brother Cruz claimed he had been blocked by the entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him. Cruz stated, "My mum and dad would never unfollow their son... Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked... as did I."

However, Brooklyn countered in his lengthy statement, alleging he had been the victim of "endless" attacks from his parents and that they initiated the social media war. He wrote, "Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer."

Despite the current tension, Gordon Ramsay revealed that he and Brooklyn have maintained some communication. "Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible," he told The Sun. But he added a note of caution regarding young love: "But it's hard, isn't it, when you're infatuated? Love is blind. It's easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back."
