Eugenie Bouchard dressed as Britney Spears for Halloween, wearing a revealing costume that recreated the pop star's iconic 2001 VMAs outfit.
The former tennis player, who worked as a pundit for the BBC at Wimbledon this summer, wore a green, strapless crop top, black denim shorts and shin-high cowboy boots, accessorised with a toy snake.
Recreating a Pop Icon's Look
Nearly 25 years ago, Spears performed 'I'm A Slave For You' at New York's Metropolitan Opera House while wearing a giant, yellow albino python. Bouchard's toy snake was a nod to that performance, though she stopped short of wearing a live reptile.
Fans flooded the comments section with praise, writing "Oh. My. God.", "On fire" and "Wow, beautiful," along with fire and heart-eyes emojis. In a video on social media, Bouchard mouthed 'It's Britney, b****' to confirm the inspiration.
From Tennis to Pickleball
Bouchard is currently competing on the PPA professional pickleball tour after retiring from tennis in 2024. She has taken a break from punditry, having worked for the BBC at Wimbledon and ESPN at the US Open.
She recently had a dispute with World No. 166 Maria Ford, accusing her opponent of making too much noise during rallies. The pair refused to shake hands after the match.
Missing Tennis
Speaking to Tennis Insider, Bouchard said she misses playing tennis. "I miss playing, for sure, the feeling of playing. Then when I'm doing TV for the matches, I watch them playing, and I'm like, 'I could be out there. I wish I could be out there'," she said.
"But at the same time, I know everything it takes to be out there, and then I'm like, 'Never mind.' It's just so hard that I don't have it in me to give everything anymore. I want to prioritise other things in my life, and I know I couldn't do that and still be out there competing. But the feeling of playing and competing, I feel like I'll always miss that."
