This sighting occurred shortly after the former couple reunited over the weekend to commemorate their youngest child Samuel's fourteenth birthday with an energetic paintball party in Castaic.
The ex-spouses share three children together:

Garner recently elaborated on their co-parenting dynamic during a February appearance on Bustle's One Nightstand podcast. "When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom," she explained. "You kind of can't help it, right? Because you don't have the benefit of both sides, the yin and yang being in the same house, so you have to have a bit of both in the way you parent."
The actress acknowledged both challenges and benefits in this arrangement, noting "There's a little bit of loss in that, but there's also something gained in that ... You also just learn, it's made me let go and not focus so much on the bringing up."
Affleck addressed the complexities of raising children while maintaining a public profile during a January interview with E! News. "You put something on your children when you have a public life and that's complicated," he stated regarding their parenting approach. "We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do."

They don't want to see us cry, or see us have a romantic scene, or anything. We're just embarrassing."
The former couple, who first married in 2005, announced their separation in 2015 before finalizing their divorce proceedings three years later in 2018.
