Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter, Apple Martin, appears to have a new man in her life. The 22-year-old, often dubbed a nepo baby, took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday evening to share a photo that strongly suggests she is in a romantic relationship. In the image, Martin leans her head back as a dark-haired man places his arm around her while they stand outside a pub, with a pint of beer in his other hand.
Mystery Man and Social Media Clues
The aspiring actress did not caption the photo, leaving fans to speculate about the identity of her companion. However, she has recently interacted with former classmate Andrew Smith on social media, fueling rumors. Additionally, during her graduation from Vanderbilt University last week, a dark-haired man was seen just a step behind her as she walked with her mother. It remains unclear whether he is an acquaintance or simply a fellow graduate photobombing the moment.
Previous Links and Career Focus
Martin has never publicly confirmed any romantic relationships, but she has been linked to a few men. In late 2024, Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck served as her 'cavalier' for her debut at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris. Her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, mentioned last year that Apple had a crush on actor Jacob Elordi, though he is now dating Kendall Jenner. In August 2025, she was photographed on a beach with an unidentified male, but it appears they were only friends.
Meanwhile, Martin is focusing on her post-college career. She made a splash earlier this month as the face of Chloe's new summer campaign, which aims to evoke 'barefoot reveries suspended in an endless summer afternoon.' Creative director Chemena Kamali said: 'This year, Chloé à la Plage is an ode to a surreal summer fantasy. It's about that dreamlike state and the poetry of summer. Apple, with her radiance and timeless beauty, draws us into this feeling in the most natural way.'
Fashion Inspiration from Mother
Apple has previously revealed that she takes fashion inspiration from her famous mother. She told Vogue: 'She's such a badass when it comes to fashion and has just done what she wants and doesn't really care. I feel like I'm finally getting to the place where I don't really care what people think. She influenced me.' Paltrow, founder of Goop, recalled saving clothes for her daughter long before she was born: 'I don't just see a top, I'll see a moment in my life and all the circumstances surrounding it. I've always saved everything in hopes that I had a daughter one day who would want to go in there.'
The Iron Man actress added: 'Sometimes we just play dress up and she'll put on my Oscar dresses and stuff like that. We have fun down there.' Paltrow is glad her daughter has developed her own style and advised her to 'unabashedly be herself.'
