Ant McPartlin Buys £10m Mansion from Ex-Chelsea Captain

Ant McPartlin has reportedly spent £10million on a new home in Surrey, a mansion previously owned by former Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta. The I'm A Celebrity star has moved into the seven-bedroom property with his wife Anne-Marie and their two-year-old son Wilder.

New Home in 'Britain's Beverly Hills'

The 50-year-old TV presenter had been searching for a new home after selling his Wimbledon property at the end of last year. His new residence is located in a pleasant Surrey town often dubbed 'Britain's Beverly Hills'. The area is home to other celebrities, including Sir Elton John, Kate Winslet, and Amanda Holden.

According to sources, the house was taken off the market for a record sum, but Ant was willing to spend millions to find the perfect home for his family. An insider joked that the footballing history of the property might raise eyebrows among Newcastle United fans, as Ant is a big supporter of the club. 'The fact he's bought his house from a legend from a Premier League rival is certainly likely to get a response from other members of the Toon Army,' the source said. 'Though anyone who claps eyes on the incredible house could not blame Ant for wanting to snap it up as the perfect home for his burgeoning family.'

Eco-Friendly Features

The mansion was built by Cesar Azpilicueta, who played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2023, winning the Champions League and two Premier League titles. He purchased the plot of land in 2021 and developed it into an 'eco-pad' across three floors. The home includes a gym, a cinema room, and a swimming room. Outside, there are bat boxes, 'bee hotels', and fish-free ponds, all surrounded by trees and shrubbery for privacy.

The Daily Star has approached Ant's representative for comment.
