FSG Confirm Investment Talks
Fenway Sports Group have confirmed that a consortium of investors, led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia, have approached them about a stake in Liverpool. The group is backed by the Mittal family, with a net worth valued at over £26 billion by Forbes. No agreement is in place and talks remain at an early stage.
Squad Latest
Liverpool have confirmed a 31-man squad for the start of their US tour, including a group of injured players. Centre-back Giovanni Leoni, forward Hugo Ekitike, and right-back Conor Bradley are included despite recovering from long-term injuries. Midfielders Wataru Endo and Stefan Bajcetic, and goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros will also continue rehabilitation in the States.
The Reds are without their eight-strong World Cup contingent. Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Ryan Gravenberch are expected to link up for the second game against Wrexham, while Alisson Becker could return for the final match. Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo are in line for extended breaks, and finalists Alexis Mac Allister and Victor Munoz won't report back until next month.
Academy players include highly-rated 16-year-old Josh Abe, who committed his future to Liverpool amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
