Amanda Holden has transformed her Surrey mansion into a winter wonderland, unveiling the lavish Christmas decorations in early November, two months before the holiday. The Britain's Got Talent judge, 55, shared a video tour of the festive makeover on Instagram, showing off her family home's extravagant new look.
A Festive Transformation
The video begins at the front entrance, which is covered in greenery, fairy lights, and an elaborate wreath. Inside, the marble-floored hallway features a large Christmas tree decorated with golden ornaments, dark green ribbons, and lights, complete with a golden stag's head among the branches. The sweeping staircase is adorned with garlands along the bannister.
Holden's two dogs appear in the video, welcoming viewers to the decorated home. The presenter explained that professional decorators, Kelly Louise Floral Artistry and her team, spent the weekend bringing her festive vision to life.
Childhood Memories and Christmas Spirit
In a heartfelt Instagram caption, Holden reflected on the meaning of Christmas, rooted in her childhood. She wrote, 'I don't think I'll ever be able to explain quite what Christmas means to me. I was lucky enough to have a childhood full of love. We didn't have much, but somehow Christmas always felt like we had everything.'
She continued, 'Even now, the decorations going up give me a lump in my throat. I'm straight back to being little, full of excitement and believing anything was possible. And for the record, I still believe in Father Christmas. Always have. Always will.'
Holden also clarified that she paid for the installation, writing, 'I paid for the installation, but I'll always shout about good people doing brilliant things. And I absolutely love what they've created.' She praised the decorators as 'warm, funny, hardworking people' and warned fans, 'The Christmas content will be relentless. Feel free to mute me until January, but I'll be reporting you directly to Santa.'
Home and Family
The decorations offer a glimpse into Holden's Cobham property, which she moved into with her family in 2023 after selling her former South West London home for a reported £5million. She shares the mansion with her husband Chris Hughes and their two daughters, Alexa and Hollie.
This is not the first time the property has been showcased. In August last year, Holden celebrated the completion of an extensive garden renovation with a Mexican-themed party attended by friends including Alan Carr, Bruno Tonioli, Angela Griffin, and Tamzin Outhwaite. The garden features a mariachi band, taco and churro trucks, a swimming pool, and a fire pit surrounded by sofas. With the garden parties over for the season, the festive celebrations are now underway indoors.
