Amanda Holden's Puppy Plea Ignored by Bruno Mars on Radio Show
Amanda Holden Ignored by Bruno Mars After Puppy Advice Request

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has disclosed that her attempt to seek guidance from music icon Bruno Mars was met with an awkward silence, as the singer seemingly bypassed her pressing marital query entirely.

An Unanswered Plea on Airwaves

To promote his forthcoming album, The Romantic, Bruno Mars participated in a special episode with iHeartRadio in America, where he extended an invitation for listeners to submit their love-related dilemmas for advice. According to Amanda Holden, the singer specifically reached out to the Heart Radio team, prompting her to send in a question.

Speaking to her co-host Jamie Theakston, the 55-year-old television personality explained that while her 22-year marriage to Chris Hughes faces few issues, she required counsel on a particular matter. "I did send one in and it made it to his radio show, it went across America," Holden revealed, highlighting the widespread broadcast of her submission.

The Awkward Exchange

In the aired clip, Amanda Holden was heard posing her dilemma to Bruno Mars: "My question is, I have four rescue animals, I've been married to my husband for 22 years, I have two children, I'm desperate to get another puppy. I've had to already sneak in two of those animals, how do I sneak in another puppy and stay married for another 22 years?"

Rather than addressing the puppy predicament, Bruno Mars responded by congratulating Holden on her long-term marriage, stating, "22 years that deserves a [cheer sound] 22 years congratulations to you both. I love animals too, well listen, 22 years, you said you wanted 22 years more, I think you've just got to love them. You've got to love them more like you've never loved before." He then transitioned into playing one of his new songs.

Following the clip, Amanda Holden laughed and remarked, "What do I do about the puppy? He just blatantly ignored me." Jamie Theakston suggested, "It's almost like he used you," to which she seemingly concurred, adding, "Just to play one of his new songs."

A Persistent Desire for More Pets

The presenter has openly expressed her wish to expand her family with additional furry companions. Last month, she issued an on-air appeal to her husband, joking, "[We've got] lots of furry babies, I'm going to have to talk to Chris because I really want to rescue another puppy and if he's listening and it goes out on air, it'll be very difficult for him to turn me down."

In a further attempt to persuade him, she added, "Darling, I love you." Amanda and Chris currently own rescue dog Rudie and Muffy the cat from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and last year, she brought home another cat named Bolt after encountering him during a holiday in Greece.

Despite Bruno Mars' non-response, Amanda Holden's playful yet persistent campaign for another puppy continues, underscoring her dedication to animal rescue and her humorous approach to marital negotiations.
