Upcoming Film Role
While the injury sounds like a painful experience, Aisling has plenty of exciting career news to look forward to, having recently landed a major role in a new Hollywood film. Back in August, it was revealed that she would be joining the cast of sci-fi thriller Starman, appearing alongside Oscar-winning actor Brendan Fraser and Emmy winner Jeff Daniels.
The casting news marked another major opportunity for the Irish star, with fans declaring she was now “in the big league”.
Starman Plot and Character
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film centres on Tom Adams, played by Fraser, a futuristic architect who sets off on an ambitious mission to Mars. But the expedition takes a dramatic turn when unexpected events leave him stranded millions of miles away from Earth.
With his mission becoming a desperate battle to survive, the story is set to explore how love can become a powerful driving force in the most difficult circumstances. Aisling will play Julia Hanley, an Irish photographer described as “defiant and magnetic”. Her character sees beyond Tom's ambitious exterior and helps transform his life through love, suggesting she will play an important role in the sci-fi story.
