Adele showed her England pride by wearing a Three Lions shirt at Bad Bunny's concert in Tottenham on Saturday night. The 32-year-old singer attended the show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, dressed in loose dark trousers and a white England shirt, as she danced along to the Puerto Rican superstar's performance.
At one point, Adele borrowed a fellow concert-goer's straw hat, with videos on social media capturing her singing and dancing in the crowd. The evening coincided with England's World Cup clash against Panama, where Thomas Tuchel's side secured a 2-0 victory to advance to the knockout stages.
Adele's Return to Her Roots
Adele has long been a proud supporter of England and has previously been spotted cheering on the national team during major tournaments. The concert marked her return to north London, where she was born and grew up in Tottenham before finding global fame.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is currently on a European tour following the release of his latest album. Other celebrities in the crowd included Maya Jama and Novak Djokovic. The Grammy-winning rapper, singer and producer is known for hits like Tití Me Preguntó, Moscow Mule and MONACO.
New Music in the Works
The sighting of Adele comes after reports that she is recording new music in London, two years after taking a break. She last released an album, 30, in 2021, featuring hits like Easy On Me. Now back in the UK, she has been working at Church Studios, with other famous faces seen nearby, sparking speculation of collaborations.
Singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, frontman of Bon Iver, was seen outside the studios last week, while Gracie Abrams was filming a music video nearby. A source told The Sun: "Adele is spending at least a fortnight in London writing and recording music. She was in and out of sessions last week and will be back in there this week, but she is keeping a low profile while she is here."
The source added: "She feels safe at Church Studios and it’s where Paul is based, so it made sense to travel over for the sessions, rather than work somewhere else in LA." Adele moved to Los Angeles over a decade ago, but those close to her encourage her to reconnect with her roots. "People loved Adele originally because she was down to earth and relatable, so she’s trying to bring that back by drawing on inspirations in her home town," the source said.
Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Oasis, Mick Jagger, Florence + The Machine, Culture Club, The Streets, Tom Jones, and her close friend Jack Penate have all worked at Church Studios before. Adele previously told fans during her Las Vegas residency in 2024: "I don’t have any plans for new music at all. I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while."
